GEN1 mint, what’s after?
Since the launch of the Soulofox Gen0 collection (a playable NFT character) back in October 2021, Soulofox has grown exponentially. In this 8-month span, we have released the first playable quest in Tales of Soulofox, our SPL token ($SOULO), equippable in-game item NFTs, and a comprehensive suite of DApps, which includes NFT and Token Marketplaces, with a total website traffic in our dashboard (app.soulofox.com) topping 20.5k unique users for the first time!
We have had many thrilling activities launched recently, including Treasure Hunts in the Town Hub, leaderboard contests in the Volcanic Quest, and SouloClub Raffles and Auctions. Next up? Gen1. Mint Day is confirmed for August 25th, 2022 on Magic Eden Launchpad!
Explosive growth and endless utility, but still so much more to do. So, what’s after GEN1 mint?
Our Vision remains intact; To create an ecosystem for social and play that is built on players-owned economies.
As a strong, growing and supportive community is key to Soulofox success, we have further defined the term “players” to mean:
- Soulofox Investors (Foxy DAO, gamers, and item collectors)
- Solana NFT Investors (but not yet invested in Soulofox)
- Web2 gamers who have not yet found their path to web3
Strategic initiatives can then be planned to onboard new players, engage them and retain them in the Souloverse.
While each of these “players” have different interests, require different engagement methods, and require different levels of accessibility, the salient underlying need is the great user “Experience” — a fun, engaging, and rewarding gaming experience.
We have implemented design changes such as Guest login and Guest play mode to reduce the barrier to experience Soulofox, while initiatives such as Treasure Key allow players to experience Soulofox DApps & NFTs at no cost.
The journey doesn’t stop with GEN1 Mint. The journey starts with the GEN1 Mint. We have a clear Vision, and the below Roadmap outlines our key approaches and innovative ideas in Short, Medium and Long term timelines.
In the short term, Soulofox will be determined to more seamlessly integrate earning rewards within the game and expand the earning potential into other game modes. Supporting gaming guilds will also further solidify Soulofox’s position in the web3 gaming environment.
Key initiatives in the Short term:
Egg Airdrop
The Pet concept begins with the Egg. Eggs will be airdropped to our loyal GEN0 holders, which can only be hatched with $SOULO if you own both a GEN AND a GEN1. Once hatched, the Pet will serve as a companion that can be sent on quests, such as a hunt, for additional earning opportunities. This mode, which we are calling SouloPet, is particularly designed with those in mind that don’t have time or aren’t as committed to gameplay. We will publish a full Medium article on how SouloPet will function.
Quest Earning
The Volcanic Quest is the first true iteration of quests. Our most immediate objective is to overlay an earning mechanism into the game, which will unlock a much more seamless earning experience for $SOULO.
Quest Modes
Once we have our earnings mechanism solidified, we will then focus on expanding the game in various game modes targeted for players with different risk appetites:
1 — Fight Mode
While Free-to-Play mode will always be one of the modes, a Pay mode will be released with Fight mode as the first tier. Players can pay an entry fee to enter the Pay mode and upon successfully defeating the corresponding enemies, players will earn 2x their entry fee as a prize!
2 — Kaizo Mode
Looking for more challenges and higher rewards? The next Pay mode tier will be the Kaizo mode; a more difficult mode than Fight mode where players can earn 5x their entry fee upon completing the quest.
3 — Permadeath Mode
The Mother of God mode, which will give you fright and chill! Watch out! In Permadeath mode, death will turn your Soulofox NFT into a Spectral Fox with reduced utility and rewards. This process is non-reversible! We will publish a full report on how this will work.
Gaming Guild
Calling all gamers out there to join the fun! To add a level of companionship and competitiveness, we will create a platform for gaming DAOs to team up and beat other DAOs. Represent your DAO by entering Tales of Soulofox, show off your clan tag, pool resources and compete against other DAO while making new friends and earn rewards!
Jungle Quest
As we continue to optimize the Quests, we will introduce the Jungle Quest. New environment, new skills, new enemies! and the fun continues…
Platform Optimisation
Soulofox has seen explosive growth since our Gen0 collection in October 2021 — growth that we did not properly plan for. Going forward, we will be optimizing our entire product suite for current state and future scalability to improve the user experience and create a seamless experience throughout the Souloverse.
In the Medium term, Soulofox will be looking at expanding $SOULO utility further by integrating more social elements into the Town Hub, expanding gameplay, and adding new ways to earn.

Town Hub Decentralised Ownership
Loving the Town Hub and want to own a piece? The Town Hub’s next stage will be focused on decentralized ownership. The multiplayer area will be further designed and opened up for all beloved players to have the opportunity to own a parcel in the Town Hub. Within your parcel, you can build your dream home in Soulofox using $SOULO and/or SOL.
Townhub Marketplace
Within the newly formed Town Hub, you will be able to interact with a flourishing town of NPC-controlled marketplaces!
Imagine using $SOULO to buy decorative furniture, a den for your Pet, or your own dedicated building to flex your proud Soulofox NFTs (and others) etc. This is only the beginning of “Creating a Tale of Your Own…”

Enemy NFTs
You are the Warrior, you are the Enemy. How does that sound?
We will be releasing an Enemy NFT Collection designed to create more fun, more surprises in the game, and also provide an additional way to earn. Enemy NFTs, designed by the Soulofox team or in collaboration with other projects (refer to the next section for more info), can be dropped into the game when and where you would like to as the holder of the Enemy NFTs. When your Enemy NFT defeats a Foxian NFT, you can earn the $SOULO paid by their entry fee.
Enemy NFTs will have different Classes, ranging from Fodder (i.e Snails) to Legendary, which represents the level of difficulty to defeat. The higher ranked Enemy = the higher the reward!
The long term plan is mass adoption. Achieved through striking strategic partnerships with other projects and sharing of technology will reinforce Soulofox’s position as the tech pioneer in the web3 environment.
While Soulofox is committed to creating a fun game, we are also committed to complementing it with unique utility that can help grow Soulofox and the web3 gaming ecosystem. It’s about Partnership, Empowerment, and Growth as a Team.
Key initiatives in the Long term:
Mobile Version
Soulofox-on-mobile. Access anywhere, everywhere! We will release a mobile version of Tales of Soulofox to help facilitate the expansion of the Soulofox audience. This lays the foundation to speed up adoption rate and facilitate the growth through partnership initiatives…
Tech Sharing and Partnership
Generally speaking, we want to empower the Web3 and NFT technology ecosystem, and our approach will be to white-label Soulofox technologies to support other projects while adding additional utility to Soulofox holders. This including the following strategic initiatives:
1 — Open Partners Platform
Provide platform support to new projects, such as raffles, staking, and marketplace functionality, which will both help new projects scale and add an additional revenue stream to the Soulofox brand for added sustainability.
2 — Mini-games PvP Platform
We will host mini games in the Soulofox Town Hub to empower other small projects and extend our community. These mini games will use $SOULO to either purchase participation tickets or a redemption prizes, which will help reinforce $SOULO as the super currency within Souloverse and beyond.
3 — Collab Artist Mint
There are many talented artists who might or might not be familiar with the web3 environment and the values they consist of. We want to bridge the knowledge gap and empower them through the Artists NFTs Collection initiative.
Onboarding and empowering artists to create and mint their art for Soulofox in-game items, enemy NFTs etc. for mutually beneficial brand exposure.
