Soulofox — A Play-to-Earn MMORPG NFT Project!
Greetings adventurer, and welcome to the Aruya Jungle! This article is intended as a brief introduction to Soulofox and the goals of this project.
THE BASICS
Soulofox is a NFT collection of 2,222 unique, programmatically generated Foxian characters created on the Solana blockchain. Each NFT can be used to access an upcoming 2-D, play-to-earn RPG. The best part? Each NFT will act as a unique character that you can play as in-game! This allows you the freedom to purchase a fox you like, and then play as this character once the game releases (beta expected January 2022). Our game will feature community-driven lore, allowing our player base to choose where they would like the story to go next. As we progress even further through development, more features including multiplayer raids and digital land ownership will be added.
Soulofox also features our own SOL token, Soulocoin. This token can be used for in-game purchases, merchandise, NFTs, and more! The Soulofox team is even working on a full-fledged 3-D Metaverse, called Project Isles. Our goal with these projects is to create an exciting gaming and social experience, where you can earn Soulocoin just by progressing through the game and hanging out with your fellow Foxians.
A RETRO-INSPRED, 2-D SIDESCROLLING RPG
Gaming is a huge passion of the founders of Soulofox. Our team enjoys many of the classic 8- and 16-bit RPGs that many of us grew up on. One primary influence of note is the game Maplestory, a charming MMO from the early 2000s that still maintains a core player base to today. The focus of the Soulofox game is to capture the same sense of wonderment and adventure found in these games, while at the same time breaking new ground and delivering an experience that appeals to a contemporary audience.
The sad reality is that most current play-to-earn offerings in the NFT space are simply not enjoyable experiences. They find an audience due to their earnings potential, but beyond that the moment-to-moment gameplay is not a primary concern. Our team is fully committed to delivering a game that offers both earnings potential as well as an enjoyable, compelling RPG experience.
SOULOCOIN
Soulofox has it’s own economy supported by a token known as Soulocoin. This token is also a part of the Solana blockchain and can be earned in the following ways:
- Weekly airdrops to Soulofox NFT holders
- Staking NFTs on Soulofox.com
- Progressing through the upcoming Soulofox RPG

PROJECT ISLES: THE METAVERSE
In addition to a 2-D RPG, the team behind Soulofox is also developing a metaverse known as PROJECT: ISLES. Our vision for this metaverse is to create a space where NFT projects from both Solana and Ethereum can come together, hang out, and interact with one another. Partner NFTs within PROJECT: ISLES will have their own individual islands. These will be themed specifically to reflect the unique personality of each project.
